Sartorial Matters is a self-publishing platform, a place where the creative pair Filippa and Rosa think and write about fashion and culture. Here you will find think pieces, reviews, interviews and published work.
The website was created by Rosa Cruz in 2016. During an internship at Bon.se/Bon Magazine, she met Filippa Engvall who joined the website in 2017. Together they use Sartorial Matters to gather their personal and published work.
I love fashion. I care about cool stuff. I’m born and raised in Stockholm, and have since lived in Cape Town, Paris and now London. I study fashion journalism at London College of Fashion. Looking for what’s now, and what’s next is what attracts me to fashion and culture. I strive to reflect a contemporary discourse in my writing and styling.
I like music, languages, Demna Gvasalia’s Balenciaga and sausage dogs.
I’m a 23 year old girl born in Mocambique and raised in Stockholm where I breathe and usually laugh (live). Currently taking my masters degree at Stockholm Business School studying marketing communication and fashion. My character is bubbly and I’m interested in many things such as exploring culture, going to art galleries and seeing indie bands live. Due to my backround I focus more on
creative writing with a more academic and analytic approach to it.
I like dancing infront of ‘Boiler Room’ videos, brunching, eating cakes for breakfast and reading. Oh, and I love funky shoes!
The creative pair met at Bon but have also acquired editorial experience from ELLE Sweden, Harpers Bazaar UK, Swedish fashion council and Shift London.
