My name is Cl\u00e9ment, I'm 21 years old, and I have been dressing according to the sartorial codes for about two years now. If I were to categorize my approach, I would classify it as classic and conservative.<\/p>\n
My taste for sartorial art comes first and foremost from my passion for beauty, craftsmanship, art, everything that is well made, and almost eternal after all.<\/p>\n
I am sure that being well dressed is close to paramount. I came to that conclusion during my high school years, and I started wearing the basic off-the-rack suits that you can find pretty much everywhere. Back then, I knew nothing about the existence of the sartorial world, let alone all the community surrounding it. Therefore, I used to wear glued-lining jackets, and made colour choices that could use some improvement.<\/p>\n
However, I was lucky enough to have my mother, who has always been a reference in terms of taste for me, guiding me towards brands offering suits that had no synthetic fabrics within their composition. Despite being stylistically perfect, at least I was wearing something with a sufficient quality.<\/p>\n
I accompanied my (very) tight suits with very basic white or light-coloured trainers. Anyway, I was the typical profile of the young person who discovered the world of suits without really having dug deeper than the ready-to-wear he could find within a radius of twenty kilometres.<\/p>\n
A year goes by and I still wear the suit quite regularly, not necessarily very well, but still. I was now in my first year of higher education. Even then, I had already received the traditional remarks like :<\/p>\n
\"The suit looks very haughty\".<\/em><\/p>\n \"You don't seem approachable\"<\/em><\/p>\n <\/em><\/p>\n To tell the truth, I don't blame them, it's true that my style was rather austere to say the least. I only wore a black or grey suit. It didn't necessarily make people want to come and talk to me.<\/p>\n In the middle of the year, COVID hits the world and we are confined. Back in my hometown, and during long sleepless nights spent on YouTube, I discover the person who will embark me on what will be a most rewarding adventure.<\/p>\n As you may have guessed, I discovered Hugo Jacomet through his Sartorial Talks. I exhausted all the content of his channel in less than 3 nights, if my memory serves me well. All the videos seemed more interesting than the others.
